Before joining CMP, Joe led JBKF Group in which he consulted with companies across industries, forming contemporary talent acquisition, development and outplacement solutions.

Prior to moving into the consulting world, Joe served as the Vice President of Talent and as the interim Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Tenet Healthcare, the largest publicly owned hospital chain in the United States. Prior to Tenet, Joe was the Global Director, Leadership Development, at Whirlpool Corporation, helping the company achieve a national ranking as the 11th best company for leaders according to the annual Hewitt study.

Joe also worked with Compaq Computer Corporation from 1996 to 2002, assuming a series of progressively larger roles, ultimately leading the staffing and organizational effectiveness functions. Joe began his career working with Andersen Consulting. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in organizational behavior from Brigham Young University. He has published a number of articles, co-authored a seminal book on careers entitled Make It Work, and is a speaker and recognized expert on talent systems, careers, leadership development, employee engagement and organization development.

Debra Weiss Ford is Managing Partner and Litigation Manager of the Portsmouth, NH office. Ms. Ford has over 30 years of experience representing employers in litigation matters before the state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Ms. Ford also represents employers before the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Hampshire Department of Labor, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and the Massachusetts Department of Employment Training. Ms. Ford also lectures frequently at seminars in New Hampshire and Massachusetts on issues related to employment law, including discrimination, wrongful discharge, reductions in force, termination issues, personnel issues, and contractual issues.

She regularly advises clients on employment-related matters. Ms. Ford received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Drew University in 1979 and her J.D. from Temple University of School of Law in 1982. She is an approved federal and state mediator. She is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section, Massachusetts Bar Association, Maine Bar Association, American Bar Association, New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association, American Arbitration Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Hampshire, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of Maine, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, United States District Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States Claims Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ms. Ford was a member of the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners from 1993 to 2005. She was appointed by the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to serve on the Merit Selection Panel to consider the reappointment of the incumbent magistrate. In 2003, she was appointed to serve on the Federal Court Advisory Committee. Ms. Ford is listed by Chambers as one of America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. She is the author of the New Hampshire chapter of Workplace Privacy, a legal reference book for managers and human resource professionals, published by the Thompson Publishing Group, a division of West Publications. Ms. Ford was elected as a Fellow to The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in June 2006.

She is named as New Hampshire’s Best Labor and Employment Lawyer by Business NH Magazine. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America by Woodward White, Inc., and has been recognized by New England Super Lawyers as one of the top 50 women lawyers in New England and one of the top 100 lawyers in New England. She is listed in Top NH Lawyers in Labor and Employment in New Hampshire Magazine and has consistently been named the Best Lawyers’ Manchester Employment Law – Management Lawyer of the Year. She is also rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Ford was named one of the “Leaders in their Field” in the 2012 Chambers USA Legal Guide. Ms. Ford serves as a board member for the Portsmouth Music Hall, Family Service, Inc., and Seacoast Human Resources Association, and she is an emeritus board member of the New Hampshire SPCA. How to create a culture of philanthropy

     Chief Operating Officer at United Way of Greater Portland, Carrie Zeisse holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Maine College of Art as well as a Masters of Business Administration from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Through this unique combination of left brain/right brain skills, she has spent the last twelve years in the non-profit sector supporting innovative, community-level change initiatives to advance the common good.

A native of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Carrie lived in New York, NY and Boston, MA for several years before returning home to join the United Way team in 2012. She currently oversees several key operational functions such as human resources, finance and information technology, as well as an innovative cross-functional team comprised of marketing and communications, story telling and volunteer engagement professionals. This team creates a vibrant experiences, messages, and media that provides community stakeholders with opportunities to forge strong connections to United Way’s impact work.

Prior to joining the United Way team, Carrie was the Vice President of Economic Development and Finance at the Boston Harbor Island Alliance, where she developed public-private partnerships and capital projects to help bring the Boston Harbor Islands National Park area to life for visitors and residents alike. This was after serving as the Director of Marketing and Strategy for the Trust for Public Land’s Conservation Vision and Conservation Finance services, where she launched the National Leadership in Conservation Awards program and the Conservation Almanac.

Carrie has served on the Board of Directors for Women Standing Together and is currently on the Finance Committee of Maine College of Art. She resides in Falmouth with her husband and daughter.

 

As CEO, Sarah Ruef Lindquist works with the Board and staff to develop and implement long-term strategies to increase the Fund’s philanthropic assets and grow the Fund’s impact and influence throughout Maine. In less than three years under her leadership, the fund’s assets have grown 52%, and the annual fund 60%.

Sarah has extensive experience in fundraising, grant making and building organizations’ fiscal efficiencies. She served as the senior gift planning consultant at Planning for Good, a Maine-based consulting practice she founded, and her law practice focused on estate and trust planning. She was vice president for Southern Maine at the Maine Community Foundation, and later served for over five years as vice president and senior administrative trust officer at Union Trust Company in Ellsworth and Camden, Maine.

She has served on the boards of many organizations in Maine and New Hampshire. She is a current trustee of Unity College, Maine Planned Giving Council and West Bay Rotary. Sarah received her B.A. from Southern Methodist University and her J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center, now the University of New Hampshire School of Law. She is a graduate of the Institute for Civil Leadership in Portland, Maine and attained her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association.

Don is responsible for leading the sales, marketing, and consulting departments at Modern Survey. Drawing on 17 years of experience in the field of employee measurement, Don’s areas of expertise include understanding of employee and customer motivations, development of effective leadership, and creating processes for gathering feedback from transitioning employees.

Among a variety of interests, Don volunteers his time to the A Better Chance Foundation. He has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 1998. Don’s undergraduate studies in Denmark and his stint as a professional basketball player in Germany have helped him understand the global challenges organizations face today. He earned his degree in History and Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University.
