Sean Riley
President and CEO
Maine Course Hospitality Group
Sean Riley has been in the hospitality business for 5 decades, managing properties from a 19-room motel to a company with 20 hotels and close to 800 associates. In 1989 he joined, what is now, Maine Course Hospitality Group, which was a restaurant company with one hotel and 7 restaurants.
Over time, MCHG divested of its freestanding restaurants and focused on developing and operating hotels. The current portfolio is comprised of 9 Marriott’s, 7 Hilton’s and 3 independent hotels. Maine Course also works with third party investors to develop and manage hotel projects.
In addition to its existing 20 hotels, MCHG is involved in three projects under construction valuing over $120 Million. And two mixed use projects in Florida in early development valued at over $150 Million.
Riley has served on local chamber boards and state wide boards like the Maine Innkeepers and Maine Tourism Association. Currently he sits on the Owner Advisory Councils for Hampton and Courtyard, as well as numerous committees with Hilton and Marriott. His entire wife and two children all work within the company and his 2 1/2-year-old grandson is in training.
Maine Course Purpose s to Positively Impact lives. Sean speaks of the company purpose and values every chance he gets. Whether it be speaking engagements or with some of the 800+ associates throughout the company. Respect, Integrity, Family and Fun are the values that drives us each day.
