Melisza Campos is the Vice President of Operations and Instruction for the Dale Carnegie Rochester office. She is a multi-course certified Dale Carnegie Master. There are only 25 trainers that have reached this level of distinction. She has been ranked in the Top 10 trainers in the US and the team is always in the top 20% for quality worldwide. Her two main clients are top companies are ranked as top companies to work for in the US. In Melisza’s current position, she is focused on training, innovating solutions for organizations to engage their workforce, training & assessing potential Dale Carnegie Trainers and operational management. She has also been honored to present multiple times at the Dale Carnegie global convention in the past and share best practices the Rochester office has initiated.

Clients have described her as an engaging, charismatic and energetic trainer, coach and speaker. 7 years working with groups in all settings -corporate, small businesses, not-for-profit and government. Melisza is an international award winner in quality instruction and consulting. 

Melisza’s inclusive style enables trust to be built quickly and connect with a wide variety of motivation levels and individuals. Has the capacity to masterly maintain group interaction, participation and energy high. Focuses on application of the learning and getting participants to reflect about the topic, gaps and their impact on others and the organization. Exceptional at coaching people to isolate their obstacles – get “unstuck” and make commitments to change. 

Training/facilitation areas of expertise include: Public speaking, human relations, leadership, motivation, coaching, team member engagement, execution and customer service. We use needs analysis, leadership involvement, & solution deployment with both pre-planning and follow-up as a framework for customers to see tangible ROI from what might be referred to as “soft skills” or leadership, communication, sales, & presentation skills development.

Ms. Campos has been in the performance improvement field for 12 years. 

She knows that Dale Carnegie will make an organization a great place to work and the bigger picture is to make ROCHESTER a great place by improving the performance of people in our community to make us more competitive. Melisza’s background is in communications. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo. In Melisza’s spare time, she volunteers on the United Way board, SUNY Geneseo’s College Council, WXXI Board of Trustees, is the 2016-2017 Minnett Professor for RIT and other task forces and committees.

Melisza recently completed her second term as an elected official as a Commissioner of Education in Rochester and was the top vote getter both times. She is proud to be the youngest female to serve as a Commissioner of Education in Rochester. Melisza worked on the implementation of the district’s wellness policy, customer service initiatives, teacher and administrative tenure oversight process, as well as bringing resources to the district in these tough financial times. Melisza is the recipient of the 2008 Rochester’s Up and Coming Businesswoman, which recognizes women who have demonstrated success and influence in the community, the RBJ’s 40 under 40 award and the 2011 Latinas Unidas Leadership Award, 2016 Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction. She loves the Rochester community and is dedicated to its development and prosperity. Melisza is also a proud wife and mother of three young children.
