Cecyl is a senior executive at Activate Networks, has a track record of success in companies within industries undergoing technology-triggered transformation.

At Activate, he is responsible for establishing the company;s position as a market leader in social network analytics by forming strategic partnerships and guiding the company;s marketing efforts. As interim CFO, he was also instrumental in Activate;s successful fundraising efforts during 2012.

Cecyl has led and managed teams at Deloitte Consulting, IBM Life Sciences, and an early-stage consumer venture, among other roles. He holds a BS from Florida A&M University and an MBA from Harvard University. On a more personal note, Cecyl is an avid CrossFitter and percussionist.

David began his career at Baker Newman Noyes in 2008. He is a Manager in the firm’s Tax Division specializing in income tax compliance and planning for individuals and trusts.


He also has expertise in personal financial planning including providing high net worth clients with advice on strategies involving retirement income, executive compensation, and overall risk management. Prior to working at BNN, David worked for six years at a prominent trust company in New York City, and then another four years in private banking in Portland. 

He has also previously served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University, where he has taught courses in taxation of individuals, trusts and corporations. David earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College, as well as a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accountancy degrees from the University of Southern Maine.

Peter is a partner at Brann & Isaacson. He provides advice and counsel on labor and employment law and education law.

Peter serves as lead labor counsel for some of the premier employers in Maine, including L.L. Bean, Inc. In this role, he advises clients on personnel practices and employee relations matters, including discrimination and harassment issues, layoffs and plant closures, union grievances and collective bargaining, disability and religious accommodation issues, conducting and supervising internal investigations, coordinating state and federal leave laws, and negotiating and drafting employment contracts and separation agreements.

Peter also represents public school districts and municipalities throughout Maine. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2013) (Employment Law-Management).

Peter presents each year at the Maine Human Resources Conference (2002 to present); the Annual Employment Law Update for Central Maine Human Resources Association (2004 to present); the Maine School Management Conference (1996 to present); the Maine Education Law Conference (2007 to present); and the L.L. Common problems with layoffs/RIF’s –

Jim practices in the areas of labor and employment law with an emphasis on assisting employers in effectively avoiding, or defending against, employment disputes. He represents management in organizations ranging from multi-national corporations, to closely-held, family-owned businesses, to not-for-profit entities and public sector employers.

Since joining the Firm in 1989, Jim has expanded an already well-established employment law practice group. This group is now recognized as one of the best labor and employment practices in Northern New England. Jim has extensive experience handling matters before the New Hampshire Department of Labor, the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor.

He regularly writes articles and presents seminars on a wide range of employment law topics. He is frequently asked by the media, business groups and human resources associations to comment on breaking news and recent developments in labor and employment law. He is the moderator of NHLABORNET, the popular Internet discussion group for human resource professionals in New Hampshire. He was elected by his peers as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in the State in a poll conducted by the New Hampshire Bar Association and published in New Hampshire Magazine. In 2012 Business NH Magazine named Jim one of New Hampshire&;#039;s Top Attorneys in the area of Labor and Employment Law. The Irish Voice Newspaper selected Jim to be part of the 2013 Irish Legal 100. Jim was also selected again this year for the 2014 editions of Best Lawyers in America and New England Super Lawyers. Best Lawyers also named Jim Manchester&;#039;s 2014 Lawyer of the Year in the field of Employment Law – Management. Memberships and Admissions Jim is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts and administrative agencies in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

He is also admitted to practice before the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Jim is a member of the Labor and Employment Law sections of Lex Mundi, an international association of law firms; and of the American, the New Hampshire and the Massachusetts Bar Associations. Community Involvement Jim has been a featured speaker and emcee at the annual Granite State Human Resources conferences. He chairs the New Hampshire High Tech Council’s Human Resources Exchange, serves on the Board of the Manchester Area Human Resources Association as the Board’s Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, and is the Legislative Affairs Chair for the HR State Council of New Hampshire.

Jim is a graduate of 2006 Class of Leadership New Hampshire.
