Cy Wakeman

President/CEO/Author

Reality Based Leadership

Topic: Drama and Engagement
in the Workplace –

Our guest will be Cy Wakeman. Cy is a national keynote speaker advocating a revolutionary new approach to leadership. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New York Post, and SHRM.com.

Cy will be talking about her book Reality-Based leadership-Ditch the Drama, Restore Sanity to the Workplace & Turn Excuses into Results. She discusses how we have been in challenging times in the past and we will be faced with challenging times again at some point in the future. The fact that times are challenging is not the source of our pain.
The source of our pain is the absence of great leadership based in reality. These times are calling for a new type of leader. We need leaders who are willing and able to recreate mindsets (their own and the mindsets of others) in order to change circumstances and lead in a new and revolutionary way.

Cy was honored this year in Mumbai, India where she was awarded the prestigious World HRD Congress Outstanding Leadership Award for her achievements as a global thought leader in 2012.

Author of The Responsibility Rules

Personal Responsibility –

Download Susan’s Audio

Susan Dench is on a mission to shake up the status quo! Alarmed about the lack of personal responsibility she sees in government, the workplace, schools, individuals and families, Susan inspires people to embrace The Power of Personal Responsibility™ instead of avoiding it, liberating themselves to meet whatever personal or professional goals they set.

Drawing on her life and professional experiences, Susan helps leaders shape a culture of responsibility and accountability to spark organizational innovation and growth, pushes people to be parents instead of parent-pals, and encourages individuals to realize that they, and they alone, hold the power to determine their future. She also hosts the Impact!Hour segment on the Mind Your Own Business radio show (News Talk WLOB).

As her family will be only too happy to confirm, she is never afraid to give her opinion if asked (and usually if not asked). In her role as the Personal Responsibility Ambassador™, she is a lively speaker and the author of several books, living on the coast of Maine with her exceedingly indulgent husband and admittedly spoiled pets in a charming 1920’s house, which is in an ongoing state of loving renovation.

A lively, dynamic and enthusiastic speaker, Susan delivers programs with relevant, valuable and actionable information for those who want to get inspired and ignite the Power of Personal Responsibility™! She is available for speaking on personal responsibility in the workplace, in organizations, in government, in schools and colleges and in the family and can be reached at 207.838.8243 or susan@susandench.com for more information and details.
