LL Bean: An HR Success Story –

Sarah joined L.L.Bean in 1986 and for the next several years held operational leadership and training roles in Customer Satisfaction while completing her Master’s Degree with a focus on organizational ethics.  After obtaining her graduate degree, she moved to Human Resources as a member of the Corporate Learning department where she developed leadership and management development programs.

Over the next two decades, she moved on to lead the company’s internal Organization Development consulting group focusing on organizational change initiatives, and then formed the Talent and Development function which included talent acquisition, strategic talent management, and corporate learning initiatives such as leadership development, executive coaching, rotational assignments and succession planning.  Most recently, Sarah has assumed leadership of Human Resources as Vice President.
