Hospice of Southern Maine

Grief in the Workplace

Hospice of Southern Maine began serving patients in 2004. The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House opened its doors in 2007 to become the first freestanding inpatient hospice facility in Maine. We are the only non-profit Hospice organization that is solely focused on end of life care in southern Maine. Our mission is to provide compassion, care, and comfort through end of life. We seek neither to prolong life nor to hasten death, but to provide excellent care for patients with a life-limiting illness and support for their families.

Hospice of Southern Maine is a non-profit 501(c)3, Medicare certified, state licensed agency.

Hospice of Southern Maine is committed to being a leader in improving end-of-life care within our community through advocacy, professional education and community outreach.
