Lori is AARP Maine’s State Director. Prior to joining AARP Maine she worked as senior advisor to AARP’s Executive Vice President for the State and National Group in Washington, DC, overseeing the reorganization of the Association’s Government Affairs unit and the creation of a new Office of Volunteerism Service.

She began her career at AARP in Florida. Before becoming State Director in early 2007, she served as Advocacy Manager for State Affairs and was responsible for policy and legislative advocacy. Her service includes terms on the boards of the Florida Patient Safety Corporation, the Florida Council on Aging and the American Hiking Society. Before joining AARP, Parham served as a legislative analyst for the Florida Senate, providing technical expertise to the Committee on Health, Aging and Long-Term Care.

Her duties included oversight of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the Florida Medicaid program. She also served as staff for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), focusing on long-term care issues. Prior to her work at AHCA, Parham worked at the Florida State University, Pepper Institute on Aging, where she was involved in multiple research projects on long-term care facilities and quality, assisted living facility training, work and the lifecourse, and inequality.

She has a B.A. in Sociology from Belmont Abbey College, as well as a M.S. and Ph.D. with a specialization in Political Economy and Aging from the Florida State University. She is currently a member of the National Academy for Social Insurance, the Gerontological Society of America, and the Maine Gerontological Society and sits on the Board of ITN America.

Fran Lefavour has 30+ years of experience in Human Resources. She started FPL Services, a Human Resource consulting firm in 1991 and was an adjunct faculty member of the University of New Hampshire’s Continuing Education Department. In 2000 she merged her business with Leddy HR. She is currently on staff with Leddy HR, a full service Human Resources Consulting firm.

She served as Vice Chair of the Business and Industry Association Human Resource Committee for over 10 years. She was appointed and served numerous terms on the New Hampshire Public Employee Labor Relations Board, the NH Department of Labor Wage & Hour Appeals Board, NH Department of Labor Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, NH Job Training Council and the Anthem Advisory Board.

She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Board of the Granite State Human Resource Conference and serves as Treasurer of the Seacoast Human Resource Association and Run For the Fallen New Hampshire.

Kelley is currently the VP of Organizational Development at WEX, Inc in South Portland, ME.

Kelley joined WEX in 1997 to create their first Learning Development function (WEXU) and went on to create WEX’s first Compensation; Benefits function as the company grew.

She served as the VP of HR Strategy; Total Rewards with responsibility for all compensation, benefits, wellness and HRIS programs as the company evolved from a subsidiary through multiple parent owners, to their eventual IPO as a public company in 2005.
Prior to working at WEX, Kelley worked at KeyCorp where she served as Employee Relations Officer and Executive &;amp; Leadership Development Consultant.

Jean is founder and executive director of the Maine Center for Creativity. She has spent the past seven years advocating for the support and stimulation of Maine’s creative industries by working collaboratively with business leaders and the arts community.

Her prior experience includes developing brand strategies for financial services; working for WGBH, Boston’s public television and radio stations; and development and membership work for the Portland Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum of Maine. She and her Board of Directors developed and launched the creative place making project, Art All Around, to paint the Sprague Energy tanks in South Portland. She has most recently brought the Maine Center for Creativity’s resources to developing the Maine Network of Innovation and Creativity, an online and in-person network designed to connect talent and business, and Developing Creative Intelligence, a corporate training program to help business leaders incorporate a culture of innovation.

Jean is currently in preparations for the 2nd biennial Maine Creative Industries Award gala, to be held November 15 to celebrate excellence in art, innovation, and enterprise – and the recipients’ positive impact on the state of Maine and the world. Jean was recently featured as a contributor to the University of Maine Maine Policy Review special issue on Innovation.
